Research Interests
- Flow instabilities, transition, turbulence, shock-turbulence
interaction, aero-acoustics, jet-noise, vortex-wakes, numerical
methods.
- He has a joint appointment in the Department of Mechanical
Engineering and in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Fluid Mechanics.
He is a recipient of the Presidential Young Investigator Award
from the National Science Foundation and received the F. N.
Frankiel Award from the American Physical Society.
