The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University ( invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the junior level (Assistant or untenured Associate Professor).

Applications will be reviewed across all disciplines of mechanical engineering. The department is especially interested in candidates working on biomechanical and biomedical engineering, robotics, and controls.  However, priority will be given to the exceptional progress and potential of the candidate over any specific area of specialization. 

An earned Ph.D., evidence of the ability to pursue a program of research, and a strong commitment to teaching are required. Successful candidates will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and to build and lead a team of graduate students in Ph.D. research.
