Abstract: Joe A. Latone will provide an overview to quantum computing for software engineers, citing useful references to help developers get started in this field. Topics will include QC's instruction set, programming model, complexity class, and software stack.
Biosketch: Joe A. Latone is a research scientist and software engineer at IBM’s Almaden Research Center in San Francisco. He began working for IBM Research at the age of 18 while simultaneously completing his studies at Northeastern and MIT. He has worked at several high-tech startups throughout his career in areas such as distributed systems, open source software, agricultural technology, deep learning, blockchain, and most recently, quantum computing. Joe is also the co-founder of Jaxo, Inc., a global blockchain network connecting its clients to a safe, reliable payments system.
