The University will be closed December 24, 2018 to January 4, 2019, with regular operations resuming on January 7. Winter Closure applies to all regular, bargaining unit, and contingent staff. During this time, building systems will be largely shut down and none of the normal operational and administrative support structure will be in place.
Be advised that the following services will be affected during this time:
Building Access: All exterior doors will remain locked for duration of the holidays.
Mail distribution and service: Will cease for the duration of the shutdown.

In addition to building-wide initiatives, there are a few items which each of us can do before leaving the building which include:
Power down all monitors and computers.
Turn off your lights.
Check all window and door locks to make sure they are functioning properly.
Close & lock all windows and pull blinds or shades down, especially on the first floor.
Lock all outer office or program doors.

We encourage building occupants to take advantage of the Space Heater Swap program. Through this program, anyone on campus can turn in their space heater in exchange for a Sustainable Stanford-branded fleece jacket.

The medical director of SUOHC (Richard Wittman, M.D., 650-723-6227) and SLAC Medical Clinic (Rich Wittman, M.D., 650-926-4382) will be available by telephone to assist with any urgent questions or concerns during the winter closure.

Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M.; HOLIDAY Hours may vary.
For injuries that require evaluation outside Alliance Occupational Medicine operating hours or for severe injuries/exposures that require immediate attention, the employee should go to Stanford Hospital ER, 900 Quarry Road Extension, 650-723-5111, for evaluation. Students and visitors are not covered by the University workers comp program and should seek attention from their own physician.
