The Department of Mechanical Engineering seeks an experienced Faculty Affairs & Staffing Manager to join our team. This position will report to the Director of Finance and Operations, with a dotted line reporting to the Department Chair. In this role, you will act as a resource for a wide range of faculty related activities, which includes providing guidance to faculty members on various topics and managing searches, professoriate and appointment forms. You will be responsible for managing the faculty affairs function for the department as well as providing guidance regarding faculty, academic/other teaching staff and visiting appointments, reappointments, promotions, and the search process. This role will also act as a resource and the first point of contact for a wide range of personnel issues, practices and procedures. The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing the personnel administration for the department and facilitate the department’s hiring process in conjunction with the hiring supervisors.
