High Temperature Gasdynamics Laboratory
The High Temperature Gasdynamics Laboratory (HTGL) is an interdisciplinary teaching and research group, combining aspects of atomic and molecular physics, lasers and electro-optics, physical chemistry and electromagnetic phenomena, together with the traditional mechanical engineering disciplines of fluid mechanics, heat transfer and thermodynamics. The HTGL has several associated laboratories:
- Advanced Laser Diagnostics and Shock Tube Lab (R.K. Hanson)
- Advanced Propulsion Lab (C.T. Bowman)
- Advanced Energy Systems Lab (C.F. Edwards)
- Heterogeneous Combustion Lab (R.E. Mitchell)
- Nanomaterials Synthesis Lab (X. Zheng)
- NanoEnergy Lab (H. Wang)
- Plasma Physics Lab (M.A. Cappelli)
